This weekend I headed along to the amazing and still very energy intense Kerbdog's gig in Cork where one of my favourite Cork based bands Dead School played support. Long term followers will already know all about Dead School but for the new readers here's a little introduction.
Dead School are a four piece alternative rock band that is creating a stir on the national scene. Dead School was formed in August 2010 and comprises of James McDonald (guitar/vocals), Cathal Maher (guitar/keys), Dominic Kelly (guitar), Derek Kelly (Drums). Theirs is a sound of intense passion and daring energy, a sound that takes hold of the crowd but more importantly lingers in your mind and ears long after their tour van departs. These four with their electic swagger and pounding force are proving themselves as genuine talent.
Catch-up with lead singer James McDonald.
"We're in the studio at the minute recording our next single 'Eden Weeds' which is going to be released as a double A-side with a Dutch band and released in Holland too in the New Year."
